DAY 01 ARRIVAL IN IZMIR (D)
Transfer to hotel. Enjoy the outdoor life of Izmir at leisure until dinner at hotel KayaPrestige, in heart of the city.
DAY 02 Izmir > PERGAMON-THYATIRA- > Izmir (BLD)
After breakfast, departure for Pergamon-was one of the most beautiful cities of the ancient world where most prominent architects and sculptors concentrated in Hellenistic era. The majestic acropolis is our first stop to visit the Temple of Trajan, Hellenistic barracks and tower, palaces, library, temple of Athena, theatre, temple of Dionysus, remains of altar of Zeus-. Asklepion-a popular shrine and therapeutic center in the ancient world- and the Red Court dedicated to St. John. Proceed to Thyatira, today Akhisar. Return to Izmir to dine and overnight at KayaPrestige or similar.
DAY 03 Izmir > SARDIS-PHILADELPHIA-HIERAPOLIS-LAODICEA > Pamukkale (BLD)
After breakfast depart for Sardis, the capital city of the ancient Kingdom of Lydia, visit the church built on the grounds of Temple of Artemis. Continue to Alasehir, ancient Philadelphia. Drive to discover the ancient tourist resort of Asia Minor, Ancient city of Hierapolis with the Temple of Apollo, the breathtaking theater, the fascinating Necropolis and the great baths of Hierapolis antique city, where St. Philip was martyred. We will also visit the calcium pools of Pamukkale, then visit Laodicea, one of the Seven Churches of the Revelation. Dine and overnight at Pamukkale LycusRiver.
DAY 04 Pamukkale > APHRODISIAS-EPHESUS-MILETOS > Izmir (BLD)
After breakfast we will depart hotel for our visits to Ephesus. On the way, stop at Aphrodisias -the ancient city of architectural masters and theır monumental Works- the ancient world’s largest theater, the Odeon, Bishop’s Palace,best preserved Stadium, Temple of Aphrodite and the Museum of reliefs and statues by the sculpture masters of Aphrodisias. Continue to Ephesus where St. Paul stayed a while, visit the house of Virgin Mary, declared as pilgrimage site by Pope, next is the site of Ephesus, with the Library of Celsius, Temple of Hadrian, agora and fantastic Greco-Roman theater. Basilica of St.John and remains of the Temple of Artemis, once considered as one of Seven Wonders in ancient times. Route to South will lead us to to Miletos where St. Paul paid a missionary visit and speech. Return to Izmir, for dinner and overnight.
DAY 05 IZMIR > Departure (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Izmir airport for next destination if not have extended stay.
(option to stay overnight in Izmir and fly out next day or fly out same day)
